Adrian Hsia

HSIA, Adrian Rue Chun November 25, 1938 - November 22, 2010 With profound sadness we announce Adrian's passing on November 22 at the Jewish General Hospital. Proud son of Hsia Yun Hu and Yang Ke Shun, Adrian was predeceased by his son Stephen and six siblings. He leaves behind his daughter Ariane (Douglas) and her mother Ruth, his sister Lin Shu Tian and many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sister-in-law and dear friends around the world. He leaves behind a legacy as a scholar, a well-published author and long standing career as a professor with the Department of German, McGill University. He will be most missed as a loving and devoted father who taught his daughter the true definition of being a citizen of the world. A private service will be held at Collins Clarke funeral home. Friends are invited to join a memorial celebration on Friday, December 3rd, 2010 at 4:30pm at the McGill Faculty Club, 3450 McTavish Street. In lieu of flowers, donations in Adrian's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
