WEISNAGEL, Betty (née Repasky) 1926 - 2018 It is with saddened hearts that we announce that our dear mom Betty Weisnagel passed away peacefully on June 3, 2018 at the age of 91 in Ville St. Laurent. She now joins her cherished husband of 61 years, Stanley Weisnagel and her first born son Stanley Jr., as well as her dear brother Stefan Repasky. She was a devoted mother to Stephen, Nancy, Carolyn (Bill Goodwin), Dr. S. John (Dr. Josée Perreault) and Sandy and loving grandmother to eight grandchildren (Ryan, Samantha, Nathaniel, Caitlyn, Rachel, Marianne, Elisabeth, and Louis). She is survived by her sister Margaret (Paul Skladany) and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. In 1934, at 7 years old she left Levoca, Czechoslovakia along with her mother and brother to board a Canadian Pacific ship in France toward Canada. She was a fun-loving young woman who loved to ski and travel with her girlfriends. She had a flair for fashion and proudly spoke about working in the stylish Betty Wayles boutique in Montreal. Betty was independent. She became a keypunch operator at General Motors and continued this career till her retirement from Cyanamid Pharmaceuticals. She met Dad during a chance encounter at a local notary, and in 1956 together they formed an unbreakable bond of love and partnership, which helped them through good times and bad. She loved Wheel of Fortune, Tony Martin and Andre Rieu. Her soup, cabbage rolls, macaroni and cottage cheese were famous! Her white pearls are on the table now, and a gentle scent of Chanel no. 5 hangs in the air. We miss you terribly Mom.
