Daniel Patrick McCrory October 15, 1922 - March 25, 2013 After 90 years of a life well lived, Daniel has been reunited in Heaven with Edith, the "love of his life" and wife of 65 years. He leaves to mourn, his children, of whom he was so proud, and their spouses, of whom he was so fond; Janet (Yvon Tremblay), Stephen (Judy Vecsey), Cathy (Alex McLellan), Karen (Bruno Provencher) and Teresa (Dave Hume). Dan was the beloved Grandpa, Bumpa, and Grampy Bear of Tara, Matthew and Katie McCrory , Kyle Hume, Emilie, Patrick and Samuel Provencher, and Bridget and Stephen McLellan. Dan also leaves behind his sisters, Margaret and Eileen, and many good friends and neighbours in St. Lambert. Dan was a talented woodworker, and his toy trains, cars, and signature "Shamrock" rocking horses delighted many children throughout the years. The University of Notre Dame's Fighting Irish have lost their biggest fan. The family would like to thank the many wonderful people who enriched Dan and Eadie's lives through their many happy years together. Visitation will take place at Collins Clarke MacGillvray White, 307 Riverside Drive, St. Lambert on April 1st, from 2 to 5 pm, and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral to be held at St. Gabriel's Parish, 2157 Centre Street in Montreal on April 2nd at 11 am. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Charles Lemoyne Hospital for their compassionate care during his brief illness. Per Dan's wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montreal Children's Hospital, Hôpital Ste. Justine, or the Shriners' Hospital for Children. True to his no nonsense and practical nature, Dan left on his own terms. We love you Dad and we will miss you. Go Irish!
