David Fraser, at the age of 89, passed away on Wednesday April 24th. Elizabeth, his wife of 55 years, passed away in 2007. He was the son of Charles and Gwendolyn (Pritchard) Fraser and is survived by his sister Barbara Keenan, sons Andrew (Linda), James (Suzan), and John (Ming) and their daughter Ellen. The care received at home and from the staff at St. Mary's Hospital and Chateau Westmount is deeply appreciated. David entered internal medicine at McGill after returning from WWII and had a successful private practice while also on staff at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Dad and Mother enjoyed summers and kayaking on the St. Lawrence river and annual family camping trips throughout Eastern Canada. During retirement they widened their walking trips to France, England, Scotland, and the Far North. His large collection of slides allowed the family to enjoy these trips and other family events in future years. A memorial service will be held at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 chemin de la Foret, Outremont H2V 2P9 (514-279-6540) www.mountroyalcem.com on Tuesday, May 7th at 1 p.m. Donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Nature Conservancy of Canada are suggested.
