MORTON, Dorothy (nee Breitman). On her eighty-fourth birthday on Wednesday, September 17, 2008, in Montreal, after a brief illness. Former wife of the late Allan Morton M.D. and devoted mother of Karen Wolmark (Pittsburgh), Jeffrey Morton (Montreal) and David Morton (Chicago). Cherished grandmother of Steven Wolmark, Deborah Frey, Zoe Morton and Matthew and Johnathan Morton; and beloved great-grandmother of Joseph and Benjamin Wolmark, Brooke Morton and Abigail Frey. Professor Emeritus of the Faculty of Music at McGill University, Dorothy Morton will be deeply missed by generations of her former students, colleagues, friends and family. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, H2V 2P9 (514) 279-6540. Burial will be at the Temple Emanu-El-Beth Shalom Section of the Mount Royal Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Dorothy Morton Visiting Artist Fund at the McGill University Schulich School of Music, 555 Sherbrooke St. W., Room A708, Montreal, QC. H3A 1E3
