At the Montreal General Hospital, Sunday April 6, 2014. Born in Kitchener, Ontario, a 50 year resident of St. Lambert, Quebec, he leaves behind his loving wife Shirley, children Drewin, Tamar of New Jersey, Bryant (Kirsty) of Ottawa, Edana and grandchildren Madison and Deven. Ed will be remembered for his enthusiasm for sports. He was a graduate of St. Jerome College where he began his football career to later play for the K-W Dutchman, then the Hamilton Tigercats. He was a member of the Montreal Badminton and Squash Club for 50 years winning numerous badminton tournaments and serving as a member of the Board for two separate terms. An enthusiastic skier, he spent 30 years tackling the hills of Mount Mansfield, Stowe, VT. An avid golfer, he was a member of Kanawakee Golf Club, Mount Bruno Country Club and the Tesoro Golf Club in Florida. His business career began as a manager of Beneficial Finance Co. where he was recognized for reaching several financial milestones. He was a member of the Bank of Nova Scotia team that established the bank's small business loans. Ed later went into land development where he was recognized by Bendix Corporation as Canada's top dealer. He was determined in his approach to any challenge. His commitment and generosity were much appreciated by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra (OSM) and the Canadian Cancer Society. In accordance with his wishes a Celebration of Life followed by a Liturgy will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Quebec Cancer Society or the OSM
