Sept 6, 1921 - December 13, 2012 Elinor Parker passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at St Mary's Hospital in Montreal, QC. She was 91.

She was the daughter of the late David Thomas Morrin and Ida Anne Johnson of Lachute, QC. She graduated from Lachute Academy and the Homeopathic (Queen Elizabeth) Hospital as a Registered Nurse in 1943.
Elinor will be remembered by her husband of 68 years, Lloyd Alfred Parker of St. Laurent, QC, her sons and their families: Alan (Susan) and their daughter Alanna (Marek Malinsky) of Vancouver, BC; Ronald of Avonmore, ON and his sons Thomas, Daniel and David; Gary (Sharron) and their son Richard of Montreal, QC; her daughters and their families: Janice of Toronto, ON and her son Adrian (Andrea) and their children Natalie, Liam, Gabriel and Eric of Cambridge, ON, her daughter Larissa (Brian Cleary) and their son Declan of Toronto, ON, and her daughter Briana; the late Norma and her son Ryan (Lucy) and his son Dylan and her son Jeff and her daughters Nicole and Natasha (Juan Berrios) and their son Lucas of Kitchener, ON, Christine (Alex McDougall) and their sons Charlie and Elliot of Lively, ON; and Susan (Bernard Blair) of Griffith, ON.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Norma (2005), sister, Bernice (Don Bradley) of St Andrews East, QC, niece, Darlene Bradley (Larry) of Ottawa, ON and nephew, Philip Bradley of St Andrews East, QC.
A champion and defender of her family, her home and table, she prepared delicious food and welcomed guests. Her jams, pickles and pies were famous and well appreciated.
Elinor was active in Home & School, Church (Mount Royal United), Scouts and Guides, Red Feather, Meals on Wheels and YMCA.
Alert to the end, she was an avid reader and crossword puzzle expert. Elinor maintained communications with all of the extended family.
A celebration of Elinor's life will be held Wednesday, December 19, from 2 to 9pm. Food and refreshments will be served from 5 to 7pm.
