SCKOLNICK, Hyman Peacefully, at home, in his ninety-seventh year, on Monday, November 27, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Freda Segal for sixty-six years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Larry Sckolnick and Sheila Rosenbaum. Cherished Zaida of Elana Sckolnick and Brian Gelfand, Julie Sckolnick (Richard Stein), Warren Sckolnick and Ariella Schachter. Proud and devoted great-Zaida of Judd and Maia Garfield; Lewis and Ruby Gelfand; Chloe Freya and Lyla Neri Sckolnick. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jean and Abe Brown of Naples, Florida. Special uncle of Ellen Lipes and Mike Green of Toronto, Drs. Myra Lipes and Howard Wolpert of Boston, Roslyn Brown of Vermont, Paul and Olga Brown of Los Angeles, David and Ingrid Brown of New York, Lewis and Yael Brown of Israel, and his numerous other nieces and nephews. Hymie will be fondly remembered by Dr. Bruce Garfield and all who knew him. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Drs. Peter Lipes and Gershon Frisch, the outstanding staff of the Dialysis Unit, as well as the staff of 8th floor West at the Jewish General Hospital for their care and kindness. Heartfelt thanks to Drs. Shiva at his home, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily.
