Jack CURRAN

CURRAN, Jack (John Bernard). Passed away in Ottawa on July 9, 2003 at the age of seventy-one years. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Dinan (deceased 1997). Treasured father of Michael (Wendy) of Kirkland, Peggyann Brooke (Chris) of Winnipeg, Elizabeth and John of Markham. Loving grandfather to Jennifer, Sean, Matthew, Everly and Lisa. Brother to Walter (Dorothy), Lawrence (Roberta), Pauline (Garnet), Theresa (Red), Eileen (Edward), and predeceased by his sisters Hazel and Marie. The family will be in attendance at the Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, 20 Seventh Street West (613-932-8482) on Monday, July 14 at 9:30 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Jack Curran was a veteran broadcaster of over 50 years in both radio and television and will be remembered fondly by all of his peers and the many thousands of people who were drawn by his easy going nature and gentle humour both on-air and in person. More than that, Jack Curran will be remembered as a loving and attentive husband, father and grandfather. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his wife, children and grandchildren and he genuinely savoured any and all of his precious family time.
