August 12, 1917 - Jan 9, 2013 Peacefully at the age of 95. Much loved wife of the late Willem (Wim) den Dikkenboer. She will be missed and remembered by her children, Peter (Susan) and Patty-May, granddaughter, Mieke & sister, Elsie. After emigrating from Holland in 1950, she and Wim started a family. Never the housewife, when her children began school "Mrs. Den" resumed her career as an English teacher at St. Stephen's High School (later John XXIII) in Dorval. After her retirement from teaching, Marjan became a "snowbird", wintering in Sarasota, Florida. Marjan started her next career volunteering in hospitals and art galleries in both Montreal and Sarasota, giving generously of her time and energy. Marjan lived life guided by humor, wisdom and realism. "We love our Marjan and we will never lose her in our hearts." Sincere thanks to the staffs at Villa Kirkwood and Centre Viger for their care and support. Please join us in celebrating her life on February 2nd, 2013 at 55 Lakeshore Rd, Beaconsfield H9W 4H6 (corner Kirkwood) from 3 - 5.
