SESSENWEIN, Patricia (nee Murphy)
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia (Pat) Sessenwein, daughter of the late John B. Murphy and Mary Gardiner, on September 5, 2012, at home after a brief illness. Beloved wife of John for over 57 years and much loved mother of John Jr. (Judi Wiggins), James, Kate (Taylor Hutchison), David and Jane (Steve Packwood). Devoted and proud grandmother of Emily, Julia, Michael, Maggie and Joey. Dear sister of Gary (Rita) Murphy and Gail (Alan) Eggert. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her son Michael and brother Daniel Murphy.
Visitation will be held at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore Road, Dorval, 514-631-1511, on Friday, September 7th 2012 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at St. Veronica's Church, 1300 Carson Avenue, Dorval, on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.
The family would like to thank the staff of Nova West Island and the CLSC Dorval/ Lachine for their compassion and care, and Father Fred Kirouac of St Veronica's Parish for his thoughtfulness. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation (514-734-2694) or Nova West Island (514-695-8335) would be appreciated.
She enjoyed a long association with both the St. Mary's Hospital Auxillary and the American Women's Club of Montreal. She so enjoyed her bridge, golf and tennis with the ladies and she had an irrepressible interest in everyone and everything, but most important to her of all was her family. She will forever be remembered for her style, elegance, wit and intelligence as well as her unshakeable strength and faith. Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee.
