Pietro Molino passed away at the age of 73 in Montreal on February 18, 2013, with his family by his side. Pietro was born on October 4, 1939 in Casacalenda, Italy, to Maddalena (nee Corsi) and Giuseppe Molino. Despite having a weak heart since he was young man, it did not limit him. Blessed with a courageous spirit, he will most fondly be remembered for his perseverance and his generous nature. He had an enormous heart and was a good friend and mentor to many. Pietro had an illustrious career with Reader's Digest, which spanned 37 years and 9 countries. He was as dedicated to his work and family as he was to his Italian Association which honoured his hometown of Casacalenda. Pietro is survived by his wife of 50 years, Angela (nee Berardino), his daughter Maddalena (Robert), his son Davide (Dayna), his two cherished grandchildren Darcy and Dante, his brother Tito and sister- in-law Antonietta, his brother-in-law Vincenzo (Francine) and sister-in-law Tittina. Pietro's large and loving family also included his nieces and a nephew as well as longtime friends, neighbours and his co-workers at Reader's Digest. Visitation will take place at Yves Légaré, 7200 boul Newman, LaSalle, QC. Wednesday, February 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, February 21 at 2 to 5 p.m. and again at 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Maria Madre dei Cristiani Church in LaSalle, followed by interment at Cimetiere Notre- Dame-des-Neiges. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the LaSalle General Hospital or the Verdun General Hospital.
