CONRATH, Raymond Joseph
1914 - 2014
Ray (Mary Ackerman 1916-1990) is fondly remembered by his children Maureen McKay (Don McKay), Gary Conrath (Micheline Lauzon); his granchildren who affectionately knew him as Opa, Kristi McKay (Curtis Humphrey), Jason McKay (Tawna Ronning), John-Allan McKay (Erica Gustavsson), Marilyne Conrath, Jonathan Conrath, Mikaël Conrath, James Robert Barlow (Lauren Rubino); his 6 great-grandchildren; his brother Joseph; his sister Kay; his son-in-law James Barlow; his nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Graduate of Sir George Williams University, Ray enjoyed a longstanding career with the British Air Commission during WW2, as vice-president of Railway and Power/Canrep, and as 1970-71 President of the Aeronautics and Space Institute. The family expresses its deep appreciation to the caregivers of Santé Courville where he resided from 2012-2014 in Waterloo, QC. Cremation was held in Granby at the Crematorium Les Jardins Funéraires Bessette. Condoleances may be offered to the family July 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St- François-Xavier of Bromont (650 Shefford, Bromont) followed at 11:00 a.m. by a christian Celebration of Life ceremony. Donations in his memory may be made to the Parish of Saint- François-Xavier or to the Development and Peace Foundation. Private Interment will follow after service.
