We are very sad to hear the news of Bob's passing and extend our most sincere condolences to his family.
Bob will be remembered as our "Markham Place" neighbors gather on our circle again this summer for a party. He always arrived first with his "dish to share" and left last. He enjoyed, as we did also, our time together. Rest In Peace Bob.

Our deepest sypathies to your family. My son Steven was in Bob's 2nd grade gym class this year, as well as on the handball team. We were all very saddened by this sudden loss. I know Steven will always have fond memories of him. May your family find comfort in knowing his students really loved him, and may your memories of him give you peace and comfort.

Cathryn, Matthew, Jessica and all of Bob's family,
I am so sorry to hear of Bob's sudden passing. He was such a dedicated teacher and he took such pride in putting together activities which his students would enjoy. I always enjoyed his company and had hoped that he would have a long and fruitful retirement. Alas, it was not to be! Nevertheless, he continued to follow his passion right to the end. He was a great listener and never agreed with someone just for the sake of agreeing: he was a man of firm convictions, a proud and strong individual. I will miss you my gentle giant. Too soon.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the Anderson family.Back in the day long before technology, netflix and the like families, brothers and sisters interconnected together no matter the age differences. I remember playing at Shirley's house and my mom sitting in the kitchen and big brother Bobbie walking by. He always had a strong calm presence to me. I remember him with only admiration as to how he treated us and his siblings. He was a kind thoughtful person. The Roberts family extend our heartfelt sympathies to his children and wife and to his siblings who loved him so much.
We will raise a glass in his honour and know that we will all meet again one day.

Dear Cathy, Jessica and Matt and all your families. I was absolutely shattered when I saw the news. I am deeply sorry and my heart goes out to you all. We had only just arrived in Canada, and you all soon became part of our family and we of yours. Bob and Tony doing their daily bike ride around the island, nights playing board games and Bob's laughter and gently ways. He was a great guy and I will remember him with respect and his sense of humour. With fondest love.

I met Bob through our mutual love of motorcycles. Bob's size was imposing, but then, I guess he needed that big frame to hold that large heart of his, as well as his boundless enthusiasm. I'll remember his gentle nature and ready smile. So long, Bob, rest easy now.

Bob has been our Markham Place neighbor for 23 years. He was a soft spoken , gentle man who enjoyed the neighborhood parties and BBQs A few years ago, after his knee operation, Bob developed a blood clot that went to his lungs. He told me several times how blessed he felt to have survived. He worked really hard to regain his health and walk again. He was determined and perseverant as he walked down Markham Place.. every day a little longer and a little stronger. I was very impressed and he was so proud of his accomplishment.
We are very saddened by the news of his passing. May he find peace and beauty in his passage to the spirit world. Our sincere condolences to his family and all who knew and loved him.

My thoughts are with you at this time. My daughter was on his grade 4 handball team and he was her favorite teacher.
