Solomon ISENBERG Obituary
Peacefully, on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Beloved father and father-in-law of Philip and Gwen, Harold, Rhoda and Manny Chodosh. Loving Zaida of Katie and Steve, Eric, Mikey, Carly; Bonnie, Jessica; Jonathan, Ami and fiancé Mike. Proud great-grandfather of Jacob, and Ryan. Predeceased by his sister Fanny, brothers Joe, Abe, Dave, and by his six other siblings. Special uncle of Herbie and Marilyn, Seymour and Arlene, the late Rosalee Kovalsky, Margaret and the late Arthur Kovalsky, Pearl Rubenstein, Sharon Eisenberg, Herbie Eisenberg, Wally, Herbie, and Edward. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his family and many dear friends. The family wishes to acknowledge, with sincerest gratitude, Ion Raus and his staff for their care, love and compassion. Graveside service on Thursday, October 11 at 1:45 p.m. at the Russian Polish Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at 5740 Cavendish, # 1009, through Thursday evening, continuing in New Jersey and Toronto. Contributions in Solomon's memory may be made to the Mount Sinai Hospital Auxiliary, (514) 369-2222, ext. 1334. Arrangements entrusted to Paperman & Sons.

Dearest Rhoda, Philip, Harold and families, I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Uncle Sol. We'd reconnected when I came into Mtl. over the years, and along with Rosalee, we'd always made sure we'd visit him together, but I would always call. Along with my father Dave's card games, he and Uncle Sol sang together and Uncle Sol was quite a gifted singer when he shared his melodies with me either in person or by phone, and a special CD remains a treasure to me of he and my father. We got to know each other better, sadly before cousin Rosalee's passing. Together with Rhoda, and Uncle Sol's stories, the sharing of his war medals so proudly displayed and the special photograph of he and me taken by Rhoda, these shall be forever treasured as some of my cherished memories. He has now joined the other "angels of the family" and he is not alone. May he be at peace in knowing he was truly loved and will be missed and that his memory will be a blessing to us as he now watches over us. My deepest condolences to the family during this most difficult time. With warm hugs and love, Cousin Sharon.
