Marlene, I am so glad you shared a little about your father with me.

My father saw Manny play in Shawinigan in 1944-45 and I was privileged to sit with him for an afternoon and listen as he relived his sporting days, both hockey and baseball, for an article that appeared online a short while later.
It was one of the best and most enjoyable afternoons I've spent with a former athlete. My sympathies to the family

We loved and admired him not only as a great hockey and baseball player, but also as a man of great character, courage and dedication to all things meaningful to him.
