OBITUARY WENDY - GALE CLAXTON It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Wendy-Gale, who on September 18, succumbed to her courageous and quick battle with melanoma cancer. Daughter, and only child of Elaine Buddulph and Bert Claxton (Nov. 3, 1909-Sept. 22, 2002). Also left to mourn, her only child Earl (Jacinthe) and companion of seventeen years Gordon Graham. A life long resident of Verdun, who found her calling at a very young age in 1967 at Okill Stuart Realties in St. Lambert, working as a secretary for close to twenty years before moving onto Royal Lepage Heritage in Westmount, and working for close to another twenty years, before suc-cumbing to her valiant fight with cancer. She made a great many life-long friends, and will be deeply missed by all. We wish to thank all the staff and volunteers at the Mount Sinai Hospital for their exceptional care that was aff-orded during her brief stay. On September 26 at 11 a.m. a memorial service will be held at the South West United Church, 1445 Clemenceau, Verdun (Crawford Park). All family and friends welcome. Dear Wendy,
How I wish I could pick up the phone and call you today. Not a day goes by that you are not in my thoughts. I will miss you always.
Happy "heavenly" birthday to you. Remember how we always teased each other about our birthdays being so close? I always asked you how you felt being the age you were on this date, knowing full well that I'd reach that same age two days later.
I'm sure that you will be happy having your Mom and Dad with you today. Just know that we who are left behind are thinking of you and missing you.
R.I.P. my dear friend.

Dear Earl & Gord:
I am one of Wendy-Gale's cousins and sadly I learned my very special cousin had been taken from us so quickly.
I will always treasure all the wonderful memories of times spent together at the island and each others homes many years ago. (The Good Old Days). It is a time to reflect all the good times our families had and how fortunate to have had Wendy a part of those times.
May Wendy rest in peace & may your spirits be lifted as time passes.
Our Sincere Condolences
Judy (Dash) & Don Tuddenham.

Dear Jacinthe and Gordie,
I have forgotten to extend my
condolences to the both of you.
Gordie ~ I know you were the love of Wendy's dreams and I am so happy she had you. I have a picture of the two of you. I loved her, too. She was my best friend. And Jacinthe, as you are with Earle, I know the sorrow you both feel at this time will slowly mend.

Dear Earle,
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart is heavy for the pain and sorrow
that you are living with now. Your mom was one of my best friends and I'm so glad I was able to speak with your mom, not long before we lost her. The memories that you hold dear will last forever, the pain you feel now will subside in time. We will all miss her
terribly. Please give my love to your Grandmother and I hope she is doing OK.

MAY THE FATHER OF PEACE SEND PEACE TO ALL WHO MOURN AND COMFORT ALL THE BEREAVED AMONG US.
To the departed whom we now remember,
may peace and bliss be granted in life eternal. May she find grace and mercy
before the Lord of heaven and earth. May her soul rejoice in the ineffable
good which God has laid up for those who fear him, may her memory be a blessing unto those who treasure it.
Amen

Wendy was my dear friend, a special friend for close to thirty years. I spent many a day at her first home, before she moved to Crawford Park and she at mine, before I moved away. Wendy was kind, caring, understanding, loyal, sweet, honest and did not have a mean bone in her body. And I can not believe she is gone.
Wendy (Wendella) I will miss you oh so very, very much. Sheba

Wendy was one of those people you can never forget, caring, never one to judge others, open minded and fun. She was always positive and trying to help others, everyone in fact. I am happy that I met her. May you rest in peace, Wendy.

Forty years ago we were having our first baby and thinking of names for her or him and I thought of the name Wendy Gale and I thought or Wendy Gale Claxton.Even though I didn,t know her very well just a little from grade 5 & 6 at Bannantyne school and a little when I hung around on Rielle Ave and maybe I had a small crush on her too but when my little girl was born in March 1970 she got her name.So there is another Wendy Gale out there with her name to carry on.Sorry she died to soon.

Wendy was a wonderful cousin and family member who was always there to lend a hand and to help others. My father loved Wendy-she was his niece- his sister's only child- but also he just plain loved her personality and her spirit. He thought of her as a smart, intelligent and extremely capable-dynamic woman who could do anything she put her mind to. She loved her family deeply and her love had action attached to it. This is rare. If she could help she automatically did so without hesitation. To my Aunt Elaine, my cousin Earl and to Gordie- I am deeply sorry for your tremendous loss. Wendy was a good woman who loved you all dearly.
Love,
Mary

Earl and Gordie, Wendy was one of the best friends I ever had. She had a huge heart and a great sense of humour. My most treasured memories will be our trips to Plattsburg with her mother, how much fun we had together, our adventures along the way, and all the laughs we shared. Wendy was a solid friend when I lost my mother, and I appreciated that so very much--but that was Wendy, there when needed most and a great comfort to me and Aunt Helen. Her world was you guys, her Earl and Gordie, her mother, and the pets in her life. Helen and I will never forget her. With all our love, Helen and Gerdy.

In fond and loving memories of a dear and wonderful friend. My friendship with Wendy went back about 40 years. Although we didn't see each other often in current years, our friendship remained intact in spite of the distance between us. I will miss her always, but will treasure the memories.

Cuz, I sure am gonna miss your sense of humor. I have to smile thinking of all the great (and sometimes sick) jokes we would exchange thru email. :)
But knowing that you are now with your Dad, Uncle Kark, your beloved dog and the others that were waiting for you, and the big reunion party you must be having right now, well that makes me smile too.

Gonna miss ya Cuz.
