1928 - 2014
The family of Carlton White sadly announces his passing on Tuesday, February 4th, 2014 in Montréal. He has moved on to sit with the Lord and his late wife Lovina (nee Cattan). Loving father to Yasmin (Michael), Claudette, Robert (Patricia), Don (Luciana). Proud and devoted grandfather to David, Jessica, Jordan, Justin and Jenna. Dear brother of Violet, Iris (deceased), Carmen, Fred (deceased) and Bertie. Born October 9th, 1928 in Kingston, Jamaica, Carlton left his wife, two children and his Jamaican track team in 1955 to attend Civil Engineering School at Sir George Williams University, and prepare for his family's emigration to Canada. Carlton's life was centered around his family, as well as his dedication to his church, education and healthy living. Special thanks to the staff at the Chateau Pierrefonds and Father Dowd Residences, as well as the doctors and nurses at the Jewish General Hospital 7West for their exemplary care. The family will receive condolences at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Blvd. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux 514-685-3344 on Sunday, February 9th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., followed by a Service in Celebration of Carlton's life Monday, February 10th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carlton's name may be made to the Jewish General Hospital Coronary Care Unit.
