John CORISH January 15, 1940 - March 15, 2014 Born in St. Lambert, the sixth child of Joseph and Christina (Thompson) Corish. He was educated in St. Lambert and later attended Loyola. John worked in the Investment field for many years until his retirement in 2008. In recent years he was a member of the Voices for Hope Choir, the Re-Treads, and an active volunteer with VON. He was a kind, gentle, loving and generous man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves his beloved wife Connie; his step-daughter Jennifer Ransberry (Al), and a step-son Andrew (Louise) Ransberry, adored grandchildren Constance, Joelle, Fletcher and Jamie. John leaves four sisters; Frances Bedard, Mary (Gerry) Mulhall, Anna Corish, Christina (Al) Sokolowski. Survived by his in-laws, Richard and Helen Fletcher and Cliff Jarjour and several dear nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph. Visitation at Collins Clarke, Pointe Claire on Thursday, March 20th at 2- 4 p.m. and at 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 21st at St. Edmund of Canterbury Church in Beaconsfield. Memorial gifts in John's memory can be made to NOVA West Island or The Montreal General Hospital Foundation. "The song is ended, but the melody lingers on..." - Irving Berlin
