Kalman Nagy Sr., 83, died peacefully May 23, 2014 with his loving wife of over 63 years by his side in Pointe Claire, Quebec. He was born February 14, 1931 in Budapest, Hungary, immigrating to Canada with his young family in 1957 after spending 6 months in Italy. Kalman's passions included music, writing and a love for animals. Kalman is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (nee Kovacs) and his beloved dog Tiki; sons and their spouses Kalman and Debra Nagy, and Zoltan and Jacqueline Nagy; grandchildren and their spouses Faye Nagy, Valerie Banfalvi, Melissa Nagy and Ryan Nagy; six great-grandchildren; and goddaughter Margaret Tremble. He was also loved and will be deeply missed by many additional family members throughout Hungary, Germany and Canada. The family sends heartfelt appreciation to the medical and supports teams at Sacre-Coeur and Denis-Benjamin Viger, Ile Bizard for their care of Kalman in his final days. A Memorial Service will be held at Kane Fetterly on Wednesday, May 28 at 10:00 a.m. at 5301 Boulevard Decarie, Montreal, Quebec H3W 3C4. Condolences may be sent to www.kanefetterly.com.
