Such a late message, but deserving. Mr. Dunlop (Herb) married to Florence (Flo) lived just next to my family home, throughout my childhood and teen years, in the small town of Lorraine Quebec. They lived also with Mrs. Dunlop's (Flo's) mother Mrs. Hooper. They were all perfectly lovely folk. I will always remember Mr. Dunlop's cheerful and outgoing personality. We were only children but he never failed to put a smile on our faces and have us feel perfectly welcome about the yard, safe and at ease. At Halloween they always gave their closest neighbourly children a full sized chocolate bar : ) They helped us collect a kitten from below their front door stoop who we named Cinnamon and had for his entire life. As a young adult working my first job in Montreal, I caught a ride with him a few times, when our car was in the shop. I did know they had retired to Nova Scotia. I'm happy to find his memorial here and be able to add my memories. My heartfelt greetings to anyone who also knew him <3 RIP dear neighbour <3
