DIMITRIOU, Angela (Angie)
1980 - 2012
In deepest sadness the family of the late Angie Dimitriou announces her passing on May 29, 2012 at the age of 32.
Sunshine of our lives, Angie's positive outlook, her wit and wisdom were truly inspirational. A prodigious researcher, avid reader, health advocate, animal-lover and world traveller, in her short life Angie created enduring circles of friendship. With a B.A. from McGill (Golden Key International Honour Society), Angie completed her Law studies at UBC and was subsequently employed at Shearman & Sterling, NYC. Lovingly survived by parents Marie and Thomas, brother Eugene (Danielle), niece and nephews, Alexia, Julien and Olivier (London, UK), extended families in Greece and Ireland, Angie is mourned by a rich community of friends worldwide. At her request a private family service has taken place. A Celebration of Angie's Life will be held at a future date, TBA. (For info please email CelebratingAngie@gmail.com). Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gerald Batist, Dr. Erica Bernstein and JGH staff for their tender care of Angie. Donations may be made "in memory of" Angela (Angie) Dimitriou to the Jewish General Hospital Breast Cancer Research Foundation http://www.jghfoundation.org/index.cfm?vSectionCode=FUNDSELECTOR# or to The Pink Daisy Project (http://pinkdaisyproject.ning.com/), a US charity.
