Died peacefully at home in Stokesley, England on November 7th, 2012. Chuck was born in Montreal on January 12, 1928 and attended Westmount High School and McGill University (Commerce). In his early years, he worked for RCA and IAC. In the mid-sixties, he joined Dominion Textiles as Executive Vice President and later President of DHJ Industries in his beloved New York City. His work at this time took him to virtually every corner of the globe including very early forays into a newly open China. He retired in the early nineties and made his home in England. His passions were travel, running, the outdoors and sharing his love of the great pleasures in life with family and friends. His sparkling wit and adventurous spirit will be sorely missed by his sons Robert (Sonja), John (Deirdre), Andrew (Tess), Alexander, James, and Thomas, his grandchildren John, Richard (Melissa), Madeline, Ella, and Bennett, his great-grandson Andrew, sister-in-law Janet, niece Jennifer McCrae, and nephews David McCrae and David Howell. He is predeceased by his parents Andrew and Marjorie, his brother Ian, and grandson Jack. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Louise Willans for her cherished companionship with Charles over many years and her wonderful love and care for him in his final days. A remembrance service will be held at 12 noon at Mount Royal Cemetery, 1297 Chemin de la Forêt, on December 1st. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice.
