CARLEVARIS, Anna-Maria
July 3, 1954 - December 23, 2012
It was with broken hearts and cherished memories that we said goodbye to Anna. Anna passed away peacefully surrounded by her mother and brother, Giorgio, at Hôtel-Dieu-de-Saint-Hyacinthe hospital on December 23. Beloved daughter of Giovanna and the late Pietro, dear sister of Giorgio (Carole) and Giussepe (Louise). Caring aunt of Jesse (Zahara), Karine (Kent), Sara (Pascal), Mark (Rosalind), Sebastien (Magda) and loving great-aunt of Zubin, Zarina, Zain, Kayleigh, Emily, Lewis, Ella, Philippe and Benjamin. Anna will be remembered dearly by her extended family in Italy and the United States. Anna was warm hearted, a true friend, a great support to her friends and collaborators, constantly giving and had a great sense of humour. She touched the hearts and souls of all who came to know her. We will miss you so much dear Annie. She attended McDonald Cartier High School, Dawson College and Ryerson College (Toronto) and obtained her M.A. in art history and Ph. D. in Art History from Concordia University (Montreal). Lecturer in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Concordia, Curatorial Assistant at the Leonard & Bina Ellen Art Gallery and author of articles and essays for art magazines. She contributed to various art publications and exhibition catalogues, as well as curated many art exhibitions in Canada and Italy. Most recently, Anna was an Instructor at Dawson College in Montreal. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St-Augustin of Canterbury Church, 105 rue Cherbourg, St-Bruno-de- Montarville, Quebec, J3V 2K8. The burial of ashes will take place in the spring at Côte-des-Neiges Cemetery (Montreal). May you rest now Anna in Heavenly Peace. We love you forever.
