IAFIGLIOLA, Antonio
1952 - 2013
It is with great sadness that, on Tuesday, January 8th, 2013, the life of Antonio Iafigliola was tragically taken away. Born in Gildone, Campobasso on, November 16th, 1952, he immigrated to Canada when he was 4 years old. And so began his journey towards making a better life for himself. He graduated from Concordia University and went on to pursue a promising and successful career. He married his love, Rosanna Martello, in October 1981, which was followed by the birth of his 3 beautiful children, Rosemary, Cadia and Michael, who were his pride and joy, and with whom he created many fond and beautiful memories. When his daughter Cadia was stricken with her illness, he went to the ends of the world and back in the attempts to find a cure. Exhausted and devastated by her passing, on December 29th, 2012, he had a made a promise to his family, that together they would overcome the sorrow and pain, and rejoice in knowing she is in a better place. He said he would celebrate her life and not mourn her death. He leaves behind his loving wife, Rosanna Martello, his adoring children, Rosemary (David) and Michael, his mother, Rosa D'Amico, his mother-in-law, Maria Martello, his sisters, Connie (Johnny) and Rosemary (Pasquale), his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as his wonderful and beautiful nieces and nephews. A loving husband, a devoted father, a loyal son, a supportive brother and a great friend who will be greatly missed. The family will receive condolences at Magnus Poirier Funeral Complex 10300 Pie IX Blvd. on Monday, January 14, 2013 from 5 to 10 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Pompei Church thence, burial at Le Repos St-François D'Assise Cemetery.
