1922 - 2013
Passed away peacefully in his 91st year. He leaves behind his wife Louise, his sister-in-law Denise Jolicoeur, his nephew Bertrand (Linda Stavroff), his niece Danielle (Jaime Harper) and their two children, Wesley and Erica. Bob was born in Etobicoke, Ontario on April 5, 1922. After his graduation in Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Toronto in 1944, he was hired by Canadair and assigned to work on aircraft performance at the Rolls- Royce airfield in Hucknall, England. He subsequently obtained his MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. During his long career in aviation with Canadair, Pan American World Airways and his own consulting firm, he travelled extensively in Europe, Asia, South America, Iceland and the Caribbean. He was an avid fly fisherman, and had a passion for salmon fishing that he shared with Louise. They practiced the sport for many years in more than twenty rivers. He also skied for over fifty years in Mont- Tremblant. He retired from both sports well into his eighties. He enjoyed playing the violin and was a life-long reader, with a particular interest in history, philosophy and finance. Bob touched the lives of many through his wisdom, humility, generosity and humour and he will be greatly missed. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sabah Bekhor, Dr. David Shannon, Lydia Duschkanits, Dr. Catherine Brodeur and the personnel of the Geriatric Unit of RVH for their care and compassion. The family will receive condolences at:
