At the Saint-Sacrement Hospital (CHA) de Québec, on May 3rd, 2013 passed away at the age of 92 years and 11 months, Mr. Marcel Bélanger, originally from Deschaillons sur le Saint-Laurent. He resided in Québec for many years. Mr. Marcel Bélanger is the co-founder of the « l'Étude comptable Bélanger Dallaire & Gagnon today Ernst & Young ». For 25 years, he was Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Laval University. He was the much loved and adored husband of Mme. Simone Gagnon. He is survived by his wife Simone, his only daughter Marie, of Toronto, and his granddaughters: Carolyne (Curtis Thompson), Stéfanie (Craig Mollison) and their father Ian Veitch, his great-grandson Robert and who they treated as their own daughter and was very close to their hearts Lucie Girard (René Delisle), his sister-in-law Colette Falardeau (late Benoît Gagnon) her cousin Gaby (who was like a sister), his cousin Charles-Henri Gagnon, her godson Louis Gagnon and his goddaughter Lydia Riverin. He also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews and cousins, as well as valuable neighbours who accompanied him in the last years of his life.

Thence to the Notre-Dame de Belmont Cemetery to his final resting place The family wishes to make a special mention to the wonderful team of CLSC Upper Town, in particular Mr. Réal Hivon as well as his confidant, André Poulin and his valuable collaborator Manon Desrochers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the "Fund Simone and Marcel Bélanger" Laval University Foundation or the Maison Michel- Sarrazin. Forms will be available on site. Offering a mass would also be a popular choice.
