Desmond DAVIS Obituary
1938 – 2014
In Pointe-Claire, on July 3, 2014 at the age of 75, Desmond Davis peacefully passed away. He will be dearly missed by his two sons Andre and wife Alisa, Carl and wife Vicky, his daughter Fern, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Desmond "Rugged Tom" Davis was born on August 13, 1938 in Trinidad and Tobago. He immigrated to Montreal, where he was employed for many years at Avis and Bell Canada. His love and passion for soccer began at a young age and continued prior to his passing. Not only was he an enthusiastic spectator of the sport, he is best known for his performance on the soccer field and coaching youths and adults in Canada and the Caribbean. Goodbye my friend...
Had the pleasure of playing alongside 'Rugged' in the NAFL's defense in the early 60s, long before he straightened those knees.
