Our sincere synpathy to Vern's family and friends. Vern was a major contributor of both time and his talents to amateur radio. His loss will be felt by many both around Montreal and farther afield. My he rest in peace - another "Forever Young" in our memories.

To the Ikeda Family,
We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Vernon. We will always remember Vernon as a caring person who gave generously of his time to ensure that our St. Patrick's parade ran smoothly in the security room with his professional & calm demeanour. Please know that Vernon is in our thoughts & prayers, & he will be missed by all who had the good fortune of being his friend. May the many happy memories you all shared together as a family help ease the pain at this difficult time. Rest in Heavenly peace Vernon.

A more true and loyal friend one could not hope for. Vernon was a good person who loved to share his knowledge on a range of subjects and enjoyed helping others. He will be missed by many.
