Alexander CHERVIN Obituary
Peacefully at home in his 101st year, on Sunday, March 22, 2015, surrounded by his family. Devoted husband of the late Edith Weinreb. Loving father and father-in-law of Ann and Justin Edwards, Michael Chervin, Nancy Chervin, Tamara (Tammy) and Steve Humphreys. Beloved "Papa" of Jasper, and Ian Edwards; Samantha, and Evan Fruchthandler; Jonah, and Samuel Humphreys. Dearest brother of the late Hyman Chervin; and brother-in-law of the late Betty and the late Jack Berman, the late Sadie and the late Sam Cramer, the late Sally and the late Ben Shenker. He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family, dear friends, and neighbours. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W. on Wednesday, March 25 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Beth Zion Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at his home, 5800 Wentworth Ave., C.S.L., from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily. Contributions in Alex's memory may be made to Project Genesis, (514) 738-2036, ext. 303.

My sympathies to you all. I grew up at 5778 Wentworth and have fond memories of your family. I remember pushing Nancy and Tammy in their stroller when they were very young and us all playing out in the street.

My deepest sympathies to you Michael (and family) for your loss - your dad always made me feel like I was part of the family while growing up and I will never forget his gracious greeting every time I came over to the house - "take your feet off and come in." I'll fondly remember his great sense of humour, his joke store gadgets and his kindness and generosity.

My deepest sympathy to all of you. He was a fabulous man and I am so happy we got to celebrate his 100th together last fall. I am still n Florida and will only be back at the end of AprilHopefully we can get together then and reminisce over the photo book of the party
