Ethel Bridges

Ethel Bridges MOORESVILLE Ethel Lawing Bridges, 84, of Troutman, and formerly of Mooresville, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at the Sherrills Ford Hospice House. She was born Nov. 2, 1928, in Harris, to the late Claude and Eva Lackey Lawing. She attended Mars Hill College and Limestone College. Mrs. Bridges was a retired office manager for Dr. Worth T. Bridges Dentist Office. She was a member of the Mooresville Woman's Club and Iredell County Dental Auxiliary. She was also a member of First Baptist Church in Mooresville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Worth T. Bridges, Jr; and brother, Hugh Lawing. She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Caldwell and husband, Marshall, of Huntersville and Sherri Wiggins and husband, Rod, of Troutman; sisters, Verlie Leatherwood and Carolyn Wood; brothers, Perry Lawing, Claude Lawing, and Morrison Lawing; grandchildren, Morgan Caldwell, Michael Caldwell, Stephanie Wiggins, Taylor Wiggins, and Luke Wiggins; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today (Sunday, Nov. 11), at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Morrie Lawing officiating. Burial will follow the service in Glenwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
