Cyrus, Travis - Harriman  
Travis M. 'Pooh' Cyrus, 36, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016. He was preceded by his nan, Bonnie Phillips Dishman; and great-grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Tina Cyrus; grandfather, Raymond Dishman; daughters, Kristin, Jaidyn and Caylei; and siblings, T.J. Cyrus and Tracey Weddle-Helton and husband Randy. The family held a graveside service on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1 p.m. in Elverton Church Cemetery in Harriman with Brother Travis Harmon officiating. Schubert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Darnell, Clyde - Wartburg  
Clyde E. Darnell, 87, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. He was born Aug. 9, 1928 in Greeneville, Tenn. He was a member of the Wartburg First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon Trustee. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952 to 1954. He was a recipient of the 'Navy Occupation Medal. Clyde and Marcella moved from Greeneville to Wartburg in 1965. In 1966 they opened Darnell's Food Market. Clyde also was one of the organizers of WECO and also of Citizen's First Bank. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Lessie Lamb Darnell of Greeneville, Tenn.; and brother, Raymond Darnell. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Marcella Petree Darnell; children, Gary (Karen) Darnell, Debi Darnell Hamby of Wartburg; grandchildren, Jennifer (Davy) Hall, Nick (Stacy) Heidle, Joshua Darnell, Daphnie Darnell, Michelle (Damon) Shadden; great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Jaelynn Whaley, Mckenzie and Parker Heidle, McKayla, Maddison and Morgan Shadden all of Wartburg and Blake Hall; and one sister, Dorthy Marshall of Greeneville. Clyde thoroughly enjoyed his family and friends and his work throughout his long lifetime. Together he and Marcella raised a family and blazed a trail for business. He summed it all up in a simple saying 'THE LORD HAS BEEN GOOD TO US.' The family received friends Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral services were Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Wartburg with Brother Johnny Nix and Brother Allen Raines officiating Interment followed in the Wartburg City Cemetery in Wartburg. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Wartburg First Baptist Church building fund.

Daugherty, Dalton - Deer Lodge  
Dalton Van Daugherty, infant son of Dustin and Keisha Daugherty passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016. He is survived by grandparents, Jerry and Vickie Adkins of Deer Lodge, Van and Debbie Daugherty and Wendy Daugherty all of Wartburg and Rhonda Thurman and Steve Hammock of Lancing; great-grandparents, Willis Brown, the late Frankie and Trudy Berry, Dorothy and the late J. L. Adkins of Deer Lodge, Betty Hammonds and the late Isaac Daugherty of Wartburg and the late James and Nina Gossett of Petros; and special uncle, the late Tyler Daugherty of Wartburg. He is also survived by a host of aunts and uncles. A private family burial was held in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Deer Lodge. Schubert Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Davis, Wiladean - Sunbright  
Wiladean Joan Peters Davis, 86, passed away April 23, 2016 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Peters and Mamie Peters Pemberton; and husband James (J.L.) Davis. She is survived by her children, James A. Davis of Sunbright, Rebecca Davis of Wartburg and Mary Jane and Eric Campbell of Knoxville; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family received friends on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. with Brother Herb Judkins officiating. Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Sunbright Cemetery.

Jones, Cleatis - Sunbright  
Cleatis Ray Jones, 81, of Sunbright, born April 19, 1935 went home to be with our Lord on April 24, 2016. He served in the United States Navy from 1953-56. He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman Litton Jones, Sr. and Callie Mae Price Jones; brother, Freeman L. Jones, Jr.; sister, Charlene Jones; and three brothers-in-law, William 'Dodger' Hamby, Ernest 'Bud' Hamby and Fred Ziegler. He is survived by five sisters, Ruth Evelyn Hamby, Judy Cooper and husband Conard, Velva 'Mae' Lemons and husband Bob, Virginia Hamby and Winifred Young and husband Mayford; brother, Paul Jones and wife Betty; special niece, Anita Joan Hamby; and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends. The family received friends Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright. Funeral services followed with Brother Charles Webb officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Sunbright Cemetery in Sunbright. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the N.I.C.U. at the Children's Hospital in Knoxville, Inspired by great nephew Charlie Taylor.

Judith Ann Ledford, 71, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016. McCarroll, Jerry - Coalfield  
Jerry Lynn 'Pete' McCarroll, 71, of Coalfield, departed this world on Monday, April 18, 2016, to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He served four years in the Navy with a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was retired from Boeing and B&W Clinch River. His most recent job was with Allied Metals and Recycling. He enjoyed family, golfing, reading, crossword puzzles and fishing. He is preceded in death by his father, Kelso McCarroll; and step-son, Tim Futrell. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Erma Mayton McCarroll; mother, Edna Mae McCarroll; sons, Chad (Tonya) and Shane McCarroll; grandchildren, Caine and Autumn McCarroll; brothers, Doug (Betty), Joe and Rick McCarroll; step- son, Mike (Julie) Futrell; grandchildren, Karli, Joshua and Jacob Futrell and Dr. Jami (Dave) Goodwin; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sara, Jacey, Sawyer and Dawson Goodwin; special friends, Jim Rivers, Biff Wilson, Jerry Armstrong, Steve Monday and Jackie Gallaher; and many extended family and friends. He was a member of Middle Creek Baptist Church. Nitzschke, Harold - Sunbright  
Harold L. Nitzschke, 89, of Sunbright, went home to be with the Lord Friday April 22, 2016 at his home. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Harold was a faithful member of the Sunbright United Methodist Church as well as a 50 year member of the New Faith Lodge #768 F&AM and the Sunbright O.E.S. Chapter 303. He was preceded in death by his parents, John H. and Isabelle Anderson Nitzschke; brother, Roland Nitzschke; five sisters, Jennie Nitzschke, Lola Henry, Caroline Baumstaik, Norma Freels and Evelyn Galloway; and three grandsons, Lucas Nitzschke, Dustin Nitzschke and Marc Alan Nitzschke. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Josephine Acres Nitzschke; three sons and daughters-in-law, John W. and Connie, Stevon H. and Betty, Richard A. and Marta Nitzschke; one sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Paul Mayes; grandchildren, Daryl and Carry, Richard and Stevon Nitzschke, Dana Byrd, Stace and Eddie Duncan and Shannon Jo; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Dawson and Holly Nitzschke, Zack Nitzschke, Cody Copeland, Brenton and Kynlie Duncan, Leland Nitzschke and Brantley Young; and three great-great grandsons, Colton and Tagen Nitzschke and Tatum Copeland. Callie Patton, 93, of Lancing, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2016. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Lancing. Sheridan, Wilbur - Lancing  
Wilbur Dean Sheridan, 69, of Lancing, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in Vietnam and also served on the ship USS America. Mr. Sheridan was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Sheridan; siblings, Jim, Sue, Janice and Sandra; and daughter, Deena Rose. He is survived by his wife, Diane Sheridan of Lancing; granddaughters, Kadie and Desiri Rose; one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Rose; and siblings, Mac and Richard of Mo.
