Otto Melhorn

Otto Melhorn, 88, of Wartburg, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Methodist Medical Center at Oak Ridge.
He was a decorated Veteran of the US Army having served in World War II in the 45th Infantry Division. He was a member of Emory Lodge 377 of Wartburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Vesta Jones Melhorn; wife, Iva Hall Melhorn; brothers, Clyde, Herman, Elijah, Ed, Charles, Clay, Rudolph, Roger and Robert; and sisters, Ann and Elnora.
Mr. Melhorn is survived by his brother, Huey Ralph Melhon and wife Yvonne of Wartburg; sisters in-law, Marie and Georgia, Shelby Melhorn and Edna Summers; brother in-law, Charles Ed and Patsy Young and Jerry Lawson; special friends, Allen and Tracy Bradshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lane and family and Shayna Simms and Joe Walls; along with many nieces and nephews and other friends and relatives.
The family will receive friends Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with Masonic services to follow at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg with Pastor Robert Phaff officiating. Interment will follow in Morgan Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors.
