Brenda Kay Boruff, 64, of Oak Ridge, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge.
She was of the Baptist Faith. She was a freelance writer and a published author and worked for WNOX Radio.
Mrs. Boruff was preceded in death by her parents, Judge and Mary Duncan Wilson.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Hackworth Jr. and wife Pattie and Patrick Hackworth all of Knoxville; and three grandchildren.
The family received friends Friday, June 1, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sharp funeral Home in Oliver Springs. Funeral service followed at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ken Johnson officiating. Burial and graveside service was held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11a.m. in Mountain View Cemetery in Lake City, Tenn.
