Sarah M. Jones, 93 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the home of her daughter-in-law, Betty Jones of Lancing, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Susan Dixon; husband, Jackson Jones; brother, John C. Dixon; sister, Cleo Stewart; son, Robert Jones; son-in-law, Henry Allen; and granddaughter, Karen Allen.
She is survived by her son; James Paul and wife Alice Jones of Chicago; daughter, Bethena Allen of Chicago; and daughter-in-law, Betty Jones of Lancing, Tenn; eight grandchildren; Patricia McDermott and Sandy Jones of Woodstock, Ill., Cheryl Jones and Margaret Johnstone of Wisconsin, Sarah and husband Jeff Mauro of Chicago, Ill., Janet Jones of Hanoner Park, Ill., Tammy and husband Jeff Goodman of Lancing, Tenn. and Joan and husband James Hall of Chicago, Il.; and also a host of great and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family received friends Monday evening, June 18, 2012 at Knox Funeral Home in Barbourville, KY from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment followed in Barbourville Cemetery, Barbourville, KY
Schubert Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
