Donald Ray Hardwick, 74, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Feb. 15, 2014.

He was born Feb. 26, 1939 in Fork Mountain, Tenn. to the late Raleigh and Callie Hardwick.
Ray was a truck driver for many years. He was a former employee of Getsinger, Dayton Builders, Union 76 and Overland Trucking.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his siblings, Lawrence Hardwick, Pauline Rogers, Minnie Hall, Judy Kirkpatrick, Dean Hardwick, Marie Hall and Paul Hardwick.
Ray is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dora Hardwick; daughter and son-in-law, Claudine Lee (Ronnie) Hall; son, Raymond Scott Hardwick; very best little buddie, grandson, Andy R. Hall; brother, Don Hardwick; sisters, Kaye (Junior) Parks and Faye Sparks; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Home, 209 Roane Street, Oliver Springs, Tenn., with Pastor Steve McDonald officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Western Cemetery, Coalfield.
