Kenneth 'Wayne' Wallace, 83, of the Chestnut Ridge Community, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

He was born on May 12, 1930, in Knoxville, Iowa, to Homer and Lola Reynolds Wallace. He was of the Baptist faith; he drove a school bus for Morgan County Schools for 30 years. He had such a loving, giving, kind heart and enjoyed sharing his mechanical abilities; paint and body work with family and friends in his garage for many years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Thelma (Lowery) Wallace; grandsons, Eric Wallace, Donathan Hall and Steven Wallace; and son-in-law, Rick Onks.
He is survived by his sons, Steve Wallace, of Lancing and Randy Wallace, of Jamestown; daughters, Diane Onks, of Knoxville, Carolyn and Orville Hall of the Chestnut Ridge Community and Tammy Wallace of Chestnut Ridge Community; special brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Darlene Wallace and family of Sunbright; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Jan and Jo; and a host of special family and friends.
The family received friends Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Schubert Funeral Home, Wartburg. Funeral services followed at 7 p.m. with Bro. Bill Durham and Bro. Danny Jones officiating. Graveside services were Monday, April 14, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Jonesville Cemetery in Clarkrange.
