Ronald Giese Obituary

Ronald Joseph Giese HUNTINGTON — Ronald Joseph Giese, 75 of Huntington, died May 16, 2013. He was born on April 7, 1938 to Carl and Caroline (nee Kudlo) Giese. Ronald lived in Lorain, Ohio until moving to Huntington Township in 1975. Ronald graduated from Lorain High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962. Ronald later worked at the Lorain Shipyards and then for Lorain Gypsum before working for Judco until his retirement in 1998. Through Judco, he voluntarily replaced his own road sign on Hawley Road several times. Ronald was a member of the Lorain Engine Club and the United Church of Huntington. He was very mechanically inclined and spent his free time working on engines and radio controlled boats. Ronald also loved watching old movies and had an interest in history. He is survived by his wife, Belinda (nee Cunningham), whom he married in 1969; his brother Carl (Susan Joanne nee Tardio) Giese, of Lorain; nieces Veda Marie Wood, Anne Margaret Tietz, nephew Karl J. Giese, and a grand niece and nephew. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Mary Ann (Ron) Barszo, Jeanie (Mike) Hoffer, and Nancy Jurchenko. Visitation will be Monday, May 20, 2013 from 10-11 a.m. at the United Church of Huntington, 26677 State Route 58 Wellington, Ohio. A service will follow at 11:00 with Rev. Stephen Carmany officiating. Burial will follow at Huntington Cemetery. Donations may be made in Ronald's name to the United Church of Huntington.
