Paulette B. Kollar
HUNTINGTON TOWNSHIP - Paulette B. Kollar, 67, of Huntington Township, died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at her home with her husband by her side following a long illness.
Born in Lorain on July 29, 1945 to Nick and Anne (nee DiLuciano) Broglio, Paulette grew up in the Lorain. She graduated from Lorain Admiral King High School in 1963.
Paulette worked for the National Association of College Stores, Oberlin from 1992-2005. She then was employed by Kendal at Home, Westlake as an event coordinator until her retirement in 2008.
She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Nova. Paulette enjoyed reading on her Kindle and knitting. She treasured vacationing with her husband in New England and visiting Ohio Amish Country.
Survivors include her loving husband, whom she married on November 25, 1977, Joseph C. Kollar; sister, Jean (Geoff) Gardner, of Newtown, Pa.; nephew, David (Stefanie) Gardner, of Doylestown, Pa; nieces, Nicole (Bryan) Brown, of Holland, Pa. and Erin Deering, of Bremen, Ga. and her brother-in-law, Roger Deering, of Bremen, Ga.
In addition to her parents, Paulette was preceded in death by her sister, Anita Deering in 2012.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, December 21, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, 240 State Route 511, Nova with Father Ron Bryda officiating. Burial will follow at Huntington Twp. Cemetery. Following the committal service, the Kollar family invites everyone to a luncheon at the United Church of Huntington, 26677 State Route 58, Huntington.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Paulette can be sent to New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053.
