Lois K. Sullivan
NORTH RIDGEVILLE - Lois K. Sullivan (nee Smith), 92, of North Ridgeville, passed away Wednesday January 2, 2013 at the Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville.
She was born March 16, 1920 in Lorain. Mrs. Sullivan was a 1938 graduate of Lorain High School and had resided in North Ridgeville since 1941. She was employed for many years at her family's business, McCahon Printers in Lorain, where she held many positions over the years. Mrs. Sullivan was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville and of the North Ridgeville Historical Society. She was a former member of The Knights of St. John and St. Joseph Catholic Church, both in Lorain. She was also involved at the North Ridgeville Senior Center, the Farm Bureau and with Self Help for the Hard of Hearing. Mrs. Sullivan was also very interested in North Ridgeville city government and was known for attending many city council meetings.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Mike" Sullivan; two sisters, Frances Smith and Ruth McCahon; three brothers, Walter, Ralph and James Smith; and by her parents, Henry and Clara (nee Myers) Smith.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 8pm on Friday January 4, 2013 at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd. (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. A prayer service will be held on Saturday January 5, 2013 at 9:15am at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. Robert Franco, pastor, will celebrate the mass. Burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the North Ridgeville Historical Society.
