Jenkins, Edward J.* - Elyria  
ELYRIA - Edward J. Jenkins, 80 years old, of Elyria, passed away on Aug. 28, 2015, at his home following a long illness. He was born in 1934; graduated from Lorain High School, Class of 1952B. After graduation, he joined the US Navy. He attended Kent State University, Baldwin Wallace College, LCCC, and graduated from the Pittsburg Institute of Mortuary Science. He worked as an independent funeral director and embalmer for many years. He had many jobs in his lifetime and retired from the State of Ohio. He loved cruises, camping, bowling, gardening, golfing, and going on casino trips, but most of all he loved and enjoyed his family. Ed was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, a life member of VFW Post 1079, AMVETS Post 32, the United Polish Club, Elyria Moose Lodge 778 and Golden Moose. He is survived by his children, Cindy (Brad) Warner of Wakeman, Edward M. Jenkins of Elyria, Laurie (Tony Macejko) Christopher of Avon, Sheryl (Paul) Bond of Elyria, Patricia Rosa of Elyria and Patrick Jenkins of Elyria; a second love, Carol Williams of Elyria; a brother, Donald of LaGrange, Ga.; a sister in law, Jean Jenkins of Lorain; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Magdalene (Mag) nee Fusa; his parents, Clarence and Patricia (nee Conley) Jenkins; a brother, Clarence Jenkins; Great-granddaughter, Kylie Rose Lafferty; and his in laws, Mike and Ernestine Fusa. Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, on Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m. Closing prayers will be Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 611 Lake Ave., Elyria, with the Reverend Father Albert Veigas, Pastor, officiating.
