Gorbach, Nancy Lee*  
VERMILNION – Nancy Lee Gorbach (nee Lane), 61, of Vermilion, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015. She was born January 24, 1954 in Lorain, and had been a life long Vermilion resident. Nancy worked as a waitress and server for various area restaurants. She is survived by her loving sons, Joshua Thomas (Aimee) Gorbach of Lakewood, WA and Joseph Richard Gorbach of Pittsburgh, PA; father, Joe D. (Ellie) Lane of Mulberry, FL; grandchildren, Aiden Joshua and Jasmine Alicia both of Lakewood, WA; sisters, Sandy (Bob) Brummer of Vermilion and Connie (James) Hormell of Shelbyville, KY; brothers, Joe C. Lane of Columbus, Robert C. (Christine) Lane of Vermilion, and Thomas W. (Donna) Lane of Columbus; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Lucille E. (nee Pena) Lane. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 6-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, OH. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 10 am. at Riddle Funeral Home. The Reverend Louis Bertoni will officiate. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion. Gwinn, Sophronia* - Lorain  
LORAIN – Sophronia "Sophie, Teady" Gwinn, 58, of Lorain passed away peacefully at the New Life Hospice of Lorain, following a short illness. Ms. Gwinn was born in Montgomery, Alabama coming to Lorain in 1985 from Michigan. Ms. Gwinn was employed in the housekeeping department at the Red Roof Inn. In Elyria retiring after 16 years of service, she enjoyed music, cooking and B'Bquing . She is survived by daughters Kendra (Mike) Bhagmath of Lorain, Me'Chele Gwinn of Cleveland; 4 grandchildren, sisters Annie (Billy) Adkisson of Lorain; Printilla (Warren) Williams of Amherst; Karla Thornton of Michigan; step mother Betty Thornton of Michigan; her special friend Charles Chuckie Ray, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father David Thornton and her mother Earline Warren-Scarver. Friends may call Saturday May 2, 2015 from 11am until the time of service at 12noon at the Greater Victory Missionary Church 559 Reid Ave., Lorain, Pastor Deena Williams will officiate services. Henry, Malinda A. "Minnie"* - Elyria  
LORAIN – Malinda A. Henry "Minnie", age 30 of Lorain, OH passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2015. She was a hard working young lady who loved life, her friends, and her family, especially her four daughters, Madison Stewart (Lorain, OH), Brooklyn Gomez (North Carolina), Lexington Gilreath (Georgia), and Cassidi Wooten (Lorain, OH). She is also survived by her mother, Caroline Simpson; brothers, Paul Simpson, Brian Wright, and Mike Simpson; and sister, Kelli Simpson. Many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces' and Nephews. Minnie was preceded in death by her grandparents, and father, Paul Simpson. All services are private. Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements

Horner, Edward R.* - Amherst  
AMHERST- Edward R. Horner, Sr. 93, of Amherst, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky after a lengthy illness. He was born July 27, 1921 in Harrison, KY and had been an Amherst resident for the past 20 years moving from Vermilion. Edward worked for US Steel Co., Lorain as a open hearth operator for 41 years retiring in 1983. He was a member of Harbourtown Community Church, Vermilion and had attended Firelands Baptist Church, Berlin Hts. He was also a member of Ely Masonic Lodge #424. Edward enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, boating, fishing, and was a pitcher on the US Steel and Harbourtown Community Church softball leagues. He is survived by his daughters, Linda McMillan of Amherst, Kathy (Bob) Schoening of Dubois, PA, Shirley Sue (Jim) Poprock of Lorain, Birtha Mae (Jerry Salyers) Manley of Sandusky, and Brenda Kay (Roy) Boyd of Vermilion; son, Edward R. (Judy) Horner, Jr. of Vermilion; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha E. (nee Green) Horner in 2008; parents, John and Cora Mae (nee Henderson) Horner; 2 granddaughters, Belinda Boyd and Marsha Schoening; sisters, Mary Stevens, Ollie Prater, Hazel Parker, Nora Justice, Betsy Dean, and Florence Lewis; and brothers, Charlie, Floyd, and Harlen Horner. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion OH where Ely Lodge #424 will conduct Masonic Services at 7pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Reverend Jim Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. The family suggests memorial contributions to Harbourtown Community Church, 873 State Street, Vermilion, OH 44089. Online condolences may be made at www.riddlefuneralhome.com.
