Charlotte A. Burt

NEW LONDON - Charlotte A. Burt, age 76, of New London, formerly of Wakeman, died on Monday March 19, 2012 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.
She was born on August 24, 1935 in Lorain County, and has lived in the Wakeman-New London area for most of her life. She was a homemaker, helped her husband run Jim's Shell Service in Wakeman and later ran a daycare service out of her home in Wakeman. She also volunteered at the Salvation Army in New London with their community luncheons. She enjoyed reading and calling Bingo at Windy Acres Retirement Center.
She is survived by her children, Robin (Gary) Hopkins, of New London, Debbie Riley, of CO, and Mike (Debbie) Burt, of Amherst, nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years James F. Burt, her parents Harry and Ruth (Twirl) Sigsbey, a son James A. Burt, and a sister Georgia Scyoc.
Friends may call on Friday March 23, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman where services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am. Pastor Josh Moldenhauer of Grace Lutheran Church in Oberlin will be officiating. Burial will follow at Cable Road Cemetery.
