Dale Wayne Welty VERMILION — Dale Wayne Welty, 28, of Vermilion, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 as a result of an automobile accident. Dale was born August 31, 1984 in Lorain, and had been a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Admiral King High School where he excelled in the auto mechanics program. Dale worked for Harrison Ford, Wellington, as a mechanic. He enjoyed working on cars, racing cars, and spending time with his children He is survived by his mother, Merle Schofield Welty of Vermilion; father, Richard Shaw of Lorain; fiancée, Miranda Andras of Vermilion; son, Benjamin Welty and daughter Olivia Welty both at home; sisters, Claudette Shepherd of Sandusky and Samantha Welty of Sandusky; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and maternal grandmother, Evelyn Schofield of Vermilion. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bumpa Schofield. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 5 p.m. at the Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion, Ohio. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to a fund in Memory of Dale Welty, c/o FirstMerit Bank, 4530 Liberty Ave., Vermilion, Ohio or any FirstMerit Bank location.
