LORAIN - Helen Louise Sutton, age 91, of Lorain, peacefully passed away on Friday May 10, 2013 while surrounded by family and friends.
She was born September 15, 1921 in Elkhart IN and had been a resident of the Lorain area since 1945. She was a member of New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church of Lorain and was a homemaker who enjoyed her family and cooking.
Helen leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Lorene Bracy, Kizzie Easley and Willie Sutton Jr. of Lorain, Art Sutton of Elyria, Michael Sutton of Euclid, Felix Sutton and Duane Sutton of Lorain; Staff Sgt. Kelly Sutton of Fort Carson CO, and Cedric Sutton of Lorain; a brother, James Whitelaw of Elkhart IN; 30 plus grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Sutton Sr.; daughters, Roberta Frazier and Margo Evans; sons, Tommie Sutton, twins Tom and Jerry Sutton, and Stacey Sutton; great grandchildren, Myia Sutton and AJ Gilchrist; her parents, Bud and Lydia Webb Sr.; and a brother, James Sutton.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at New Bethel P. B. Church, 3880 Dayton Ave., Lorain OH 44052, with Rev. Alfred Gilchrist, Associate Minister, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. Professional services entrusted to Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway Ave., Lorain OH 44052.
