Jeannine C. Johnson

LORAIN – Jeannine C. Johnson, 83, of Lorain, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born December 7, 1928 in Elyria, Ohio and was a lifelong resident of the Lorain County area. After earning her G.E.D. she later attended and graduated college with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Accounting, and was a commissioned Notary for over twenty years. She also raised her six children with love and encouraged education. She retired from Bendix-Westinghouse in Elyria, where she worked in accounting.
Her hobbies and interests included playing bingo, watching television and doing crossword puzzles.
Jeannine leaves to cherish her memory her children, Allen Johnson, Marcia Johnson, Charmaine Johnson, Franchot Johnson, all of Lorain, Lewis (Regina) Johnson of Oberlin, and Jeaunnatta (Robert) Walton of Lorain; 15 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, George Alfonso Glenn and Alza Barbara Wall; a sister, Janata Glenn; and a granddaughter, Qiana Walton.
Visitation will be held Monday January 9, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway, Lorain OH 44052. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
