LORAIN – Josephine T. Keller passed away Palm Sunday, April 13, 2014 after having received the prayerful support and consolation of the Sacraments surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her son, Rev. Father Gerald J. Keller; her daughter, Judy Baker, and son in law, Kenneth Baker of Alpharetta, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Keller, in 1969; her parents, Joseph and Anna Tokarczyk; her brothers, Joseph Frank, Stanley and Ted Tokarczyk; and her sister, Mary Walczak.
She was a lifelong resident of Lorain and formerly employed by Airport Tavern, Meyer-Goldberg's, and Fligner's Market.
She was founding President of the Altar and Rosary Society at Nativity of the BVM Parish in Lorain. Her outstanding talent for cooking was published in the national magazine, Renaissance, and parish cookbooks. Always interested in parish activities, donations may be made in her memory to Nativity Parish.
The Keller family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. The Altar and Rosary Society of Nativity Parish will conduct a Rosary service on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The family will also receive friends on Wednesday, April 16th. from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Nativity BVM Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th. Street, Lorain. Rev. Fr. Gerald J. Keller, son of Josephine, will officiate and concelebrated by several other Priests. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
