ELYRIA - Letha Furci (nee Mills), 91 of Elyria, formerly of Lorain, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph. Mrs. Furci was born, December 22, 1922 at the family farm house in East Lynn, Wayne County, West Virginia.
Letha went to work during WWII as a welder at the Cadillac Tank Plant, Cleveland and then after the war and for a good part of her working years she waitressed at various restaurants. She enjoyed gardening, crafting, quilting and knitting.
Letha is survived by sons Jimmy Droke (Diana) of Avon Lake and Dennis Marsh (Vicki) of Lorain. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, as well as a sister Zelah Williams of Amherst.
She is preceded in death by her husband James Furci, parents Charlie Golden and Fannie Mae (nee Francis) Mills and 8 brothers and sisters.
All services will be private at the Avon Lake United Church of Christ where Rev. Kelly Brill will officiate.
