Margaret (Leczo) Glowacki

AMHERST - Margaret Glowacki (nee Leczo) of Amherst, died Saturday at Mercy Regional Medical Center. She was 80.
Mrs. Glowacki was married to her husband, Ken, for 59 years. They had five children, 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with another three on the way.
The only thing more important than her family was her Hungarian heritage. She was 100 percent Hungarian and proud of it. Whenever local churches made ethnic foods, she was one of their best customers. She bought stuffed cabbage, pierogis, nut rolls, pumpkin rolls, sausage, noodles – whatever they made and whenever they made it. And she didn't buy just for herself. She bought enough for all her children and their children.
She spent most of her time taking care of and looking after her family since retiring from Amherst Public Schools where she worked as a teachers' aide for more than 20 years. She was also a talented artist and painted landscapes in oil before her time was taken up with family and work.
The oldest daughter of Jesse and Clara Leczo, who preceded her in death, Mrs. Glowacki grew up in Elyria and graduated from Elyria High School in 1952. She lived and raised her children in Amherst.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughters, Patti Ewald of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Kris (Reed) Boden of Amherst; three sons, Jim of Amherst, Tim (Amy) of Lorain and David of Amherst; 15 grandchildren, Mike (Gennessa) Ewald of Costa Mesa, Calif.; Peter (Rosa) Boden of Amherst, Dan (Andrea) Boden of Lakewood, Lindsey (Cole) Naro of Elyria, Matt Ewald of Chicago, Kenny (Karli) Glowacki of Vermilion, Lauren Glowacki of Amherst, Tyler (Kate) Glowacki of Lorain, Morgan Glowacki of Amherst, Nick Glowacki of Lorain, Charlotte Boden of Amherst, Rachel Glowacki of Amherst, Zac Glowacki of Lorain, Ryan Glowacki of Amherst, Aaron Glowacki of Amherst; and three great-grandchildren, Aidan and Jacob Boden and Chloe Naro.
She is also survived by sister Anita Csincscak of Tecumseh, Mich.; and brother Ted (Marilyn) Leczo of Wexford, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 29, at Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, where Parastas funeral services will be held Friday, August 30, at 11 a.m. Fr.
