Marjorie Horning Obituary
She was born October 14, 1934 in Elyria, Ohio. Marjorie was a lifetime resident of Amherst.
Her primary focus in life was that of being a homemaker. Marjorie had a servant's heart and was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Amherst. She taught Sunday school, was a member of the Ladies Guild. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, baking and reading.
Survivors include her son David Horning, of Lorain, her daughters and their husbands Betty and Matt Linden, of Grafton, Ruth and Robert McClure, of Oberlin; and her brother and his wife Robert and Michele Bremke, of Winter Park, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Wilmer C. Horning on March 17, 2002; and by her parents Albert and Louise Bremke (nee: Krueger).
Friends may call Tuesday Nov. 6th, 2012, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Hempel Funeral Home; 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Nov. 7th at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church; 115 Central Drive, Amherst. The Rev. Terrance Adamson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow at Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church; 115 Central Drive, Amherst, OH 44001.

My prayers go out to all of you during this sad time. Although it's been a long time I still remember how nice Aunt Marge was when I was growing up. So sorry for your loss.

I have never met a kinder, more gentle soul than Mrs. Horning. It was my distinct pleasure to have taken care of her dental needs for as long as I did. Every once in a while you meet someone who brightens a room just by being in it. That was Mrs. Horning. She will be missed! Please know Betty and Matt that we are praying for you and your family. My deepest sympathies on the families lost. I am keeping all of you guys in my prayers. Aunt Marge was truly an inspiration to myself during my childhoood, youth and adult life.
